Site Split of Antiferromagnetic α-Mn Revealed by 55Mn Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

چکیده

The magnetic structure of antiferromagnetic $\alpha$-Mn has been unclarified for almost 70 years since its magnetism was discovered. We measured the zero-field nuclear resonance spectra to obtain further insight into below $T_{\text{N}} = 95$ K. site II split two sites with five subpeaks owing quadrupole interaction, and this shows that ordered moments at are slightly tilted from $[001]$ direction. III revealed splits four $T_{\text{N}}$. These findings clearly demonstrate symmetry is lower than previously considered.

Mn nuclear - magnetic - resonance study of the GdMn 2 hydrides

The Mn NMR spin-echo spectra for the cubic GdMn2Hx compounds with x50, 0.5, 1, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.4, 3.5 and for the rhombohedral GdMn2H4.3 are reported. For the samples with x50, 0.5, and 1 spectra with a single broad line at 129, 132, and 135 MHz, respectively are observed. Satellite patterns with up to three lines are observed for 2,x,3.5. The effect is attributed to a diversification of manganese...

Functional Dynamics of the Folded Ankyrin Repeats of IκBα Revealed by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance†

Inhibition of nuclear factor kappaB (NF-kappaB) is mainly accomplished by IkappaB alpha, which consists of a signal response sequence at the N-terminus, a six-ankyrin repeat domain (ARD) that binds NF-kappaB, and a C-terminal PEST sequence. Previous studies with the ARD revealed that the fifth and sixth repeats are only partially folded in the absence of NF-kappaB. Here we report NMR studies of...

Complete quantum teleportation by nuclear magnetic resonance

Quantum mechanics provides spectacular new information processing abilities . One of the most unexpected is a procedure called quantum teleportation 3 that allows the quantum state of a system to be transported from one location to another, without moving through the intervening space. Partial implementations of teleportation 4,5 over macroscopic distances have been achieved using optical systems,

Rate constants determined by nuclear magnetic resonance.

Fast kinetic methods are used to measure reactions that take place in less time than required to mix the reagents manually and to measure the reaction by usual methods, like UV-visible spectrophotometry and fluorescence. The best known of them are rapid-mixing and relaxation methods, which are used for reactions with half-times in the millisecond and microsecond ranges, respectively. The picose...
